Ranking of conditioners for damaged hair after extensions – the best conditioners for damaged hair after extensions in 2023
Hairstyle is an important aspect of appearance and self-expression, often influencing the overall impression someone makes on others. In order to feel good in your own hairstyle, proper care is extremely important. In order to achieve the effect of the dream hairstyle, we undergo treatments that have a negative impact on the condition of the hair strands. One such treatment is hair extensions. Heat styling tools such as straighteners or curling irons are often used when extending hair. If the temperature is too high or the application time is too long, the hair can overheat and become damaged. During the procedure, invasive preparations or chemicals are used, resulting in damaged hair after extensions. Damaged hair after extensions is usually dry and lackluster. Fortunately, there is an easy way to improve their condition. If you are one of the people who have damaged hair after extensions, we have a list of 5 conditioners that will effectively help moisturize your hair and restore its shine.

Mel Skin moisturizing conditioner with wheat protein and squalane for dry hair is a great product for hair damaged after extensions 🥰. The formula is extremely rich in natural 🌿 ingredients, thanks to which it is gentle, does not weigh down the hair and improves its condition. It also nourishes the scalp. Our testers noticed that the hair after using the conditioner is not only perfectly moisturized 💦, but also looks like after a visit to the hairdressing salon 👩🏻👩🔬! The conditioner smells great and makes combing easier. The product regenerates damaged hair after extensions by nourishing it and filling in defects in the structure. And that's after the first use! However, there is one drawback to the Mel Skin conditioner – once you use it, you don't want any other 😉. The conditioner is sold in a convenient dispenser with a pump, which has quite a nice graphic design. What more could you want 😍?

Kerastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique is a conditioner that protects the hair from the drying effects of hot 🔥 styling devices such as curling irons or straighteners. It protects against high temperatures and ensures that the hair remains moisturized. After using the conditioner, the hair is nourished, stronger and full of shine ✨. The cosmetic has a delicate, creamy texture and smells very pleasant. Our testers who had damaged hair after extensions liked the smoothing effect, which completely blurred the difference between natural and attached hair, creating a beautiful surface 😍. Unfortunately, the price of the conditioner is high and not everyone can afford it. The packaging does not encourage you to buy it either – the conditioner is sold in a tube, which is difficult to unscrew and close with wet hands. The lack of a dispenser also makes it difficult to take the right amount of conditioner – it's easy to waste it.

Food For Soft by Matrix is a conditioner that moisturizes, but the effect is not long-lasting. It happens that after using the conditioner, the hair becomes frizzy 😞. Some of our testers noticed their hair was "flat" the next day after using the conditioner, which unfortunately weighed down the delicate hair strands. So it's easy to see that conditioner works differently on different hair types 🤔. After using the conditioner, the hair becomes soft and smooth, but the effect is not as spectacular as in the case of positions 1 and 2 from our ranking. The product nourishes the hair and makes it easier to comb, and the fragrance encourages use 👌. The price of the conditioner is objectively not high, but looking at the effects, it could be a bit cheaper.
Benefits

- hair becomes soft
- nourishes the hair
- makes combing easier
- smooths the hair
- lightly moisturizes
Disadvantages
Matrix, Food For Soft, Intensely moisturizing conditioner for all dry hair types
- may weigh down the hair
- price inadequate to the quality

Aussie SOS 3 Minute Miracle is a conditioner that can really change the condition of our hair in 3 minutes 🤗. Unfortunately, this is more of a visual effect than a long-term restoration, but nevertheless the product made a good impression on our testers 👍. It smells good and moisturizes, although the effect doesn't last too long. The formula is created in such a way as to smooth and tame long hair strands. The conditioner uses Australian superfoods that are designed to make it easier to comb the hair and prevent tangling. To buy a conditioner, you have to make some effort, because it is not a popular product. In addition to interesting Australian "pearls", the composition includes a lot of fragrances that can sensitize and cause allergic reactions, such as itching of the scalp. Unfortunately, the label also contains denatured alcohol 😬, which, in the perspective of prolonged use of the product, can dry out the hair and irritate the skin.

- instant smoothing effect
- moisturizes

- makes combing easier
Disadvantages
Aussie, SOS 3 Minute Miracle, Instant hair conditioner
- the effect is only visual
- moisturizing is not long-lasting
- product difficult to obtain
- contains many fragrances that can irritate the scalp and cause itching

Loreal Pro Longer is a conditioner from the Professionell series, which is designed for long hair. The product moisturizes and strengthens damaged hair after extensions, although the effect is rather short-lived 🧐. The conditioner visibly smooths the hair strands without weighing them down. Unfortunately, the cosmetic has a rather thin texture, which negatively affects its efficiency. With long hair, it is only enough for a few uses 🤨. Our testers didn't like the packaging of the product. It is a tube, the "click" closure, which tends to break, so that the cosmetic can spill (apart from the fact that a dispenser with a pump would be much more convenient), which should definitely not be the case in the case of a product for such an exorbitant price 💰. Our testers pointed out that the conditioner does not make combing easier, and when applied to the entire length of the hair, it may make it greasy. The conditioner contains a lot of fragrances that can cause allergic reactions.
