Emollient Masks Ranking – The Best Emollient Masks of 2024
Emollient masks are specialized cosmetics that provide optimal hydration to the hair by creating a protective coating on it and providing essential fats. As a result, they protect the strands from the harmful effects of moisture, reduce frizz and prevent damage. These masks are a key ingredient in the PEH triangle (emollients, proteins, humectants) in hair care. They are especially recommended for dull, coarse hair and hair prone to breakage and frizz. A well-composed emollient mask should be based on natural ingredients so as not to burden the hair with unnecessary chemicals. Browse through our list of emollient masks and choose the one that perfectly meets your needs.

Kallos is a well-known brand that stands out for its wide range of conditioners and hair masks 👩🏻. Kallos masks are very popular and most of them can be obtained at low prices. We took a closer look at one of the brand's most popular masks 😉. Kallos Omega is an emollient mask that noticeably nourishes and moisturizes damaged, dull strands. Thanks to Omega-6 acid and macadamia oil, the mask is able to restore shine to the hair, smooth it and protect the scalp from external factors 👍. However, our group of testers were not thrilled with the results 😓. The first reported problem is the difficulty in choosing the right amount of cosmetic. For this reason, the hair either behaves like after a regular shampoo or becomes heavily overloaded 👎. Our testers also pointed out the tendency for hair to tangle. In addition to this, the packaging of the product is bulky and the formula contains artificial preservatives 🧪. Still, considering its affordable price, the Kallos Omega Emollient Mask is not bad, although it is far from Twisty in terms of both composition and effectiveness.

- contains fatty acids

Trust my Sister is another well-known brand in today's list. The Trust My Sister emollient mask designed for medium porosity hair is praised for its good nourishing and strengthening effect 🙂. The composition includes natural oils such as olive oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil and macadamia oil that moisturize and regenerate the hair 🌿. Our group of hair maniacs praised the mask for its smoothing and elasticizing effect and reduction of frizz. Unfortunately, you can't talk about the WOW effect, because the Trust My Sister mask has its drawbacks. First of all, it contains isopropyl 🧪 myristate, a highly comedogenic and irritating ingredient that can have negative effects on the scalp 😬. In addition, the price of the Trust My Sister mask is not affordable, and the capacity of the package is small. Combined with the low efficiency, this makes the packaging run out quickly, the mask is hardly cost-effective 😞.

Disadvantages

The Hair Food line from Garnier Fructis is a range of cosmetics designed for dry hair in need of nourishment, so it meets the criteria of an emollient mask. Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana is a mask for dry hair, containing 98% natural ingredients 🌿. The Hair Food Banana mask acts as an emollient mask due to its action and the presence of oils. The Garnier mask nourishes the hair well and makes it easier to comb, but it is not effective enough on frizzy hair 🤔. The texture is thick and can make it difficult to wear all the way and increase rinsing time, especially with long hair. A big minus is the already mentioned isopropyl myristate, which, along with two other substances, has a comedogenic and irritating effect 😬. Our testers are of the opinion that the Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana mask may be recommended rather for less demanding hair, and its effect may be insufficient for very dry hair 😓.
