Ranking of emollient masks – best emollient masks

Emollient masks are products that are used to lubricate the hair and create a protective layer that provides proper hydration. They protect the hair from moisture, prevent frizz and damage. An emollient mask is an important part of hair care in PEH balance (the other elements are proteins and humectants). It is especially recommended for coarse, lacklustre hair with a tendency for frizz and breakage. An effective emollient mask should consist of natural emollients so as not to add chemicals to the hair. Check out our ranking of emollient masks and choose the product that suits your needs best.

Twisty is a new cosmetics brand that specialises in curly hair care. The company's offer includes three different conditioners that ensures PEH balance for your hair 🤩. One of the brand's products is the Ride the Wave emollient conditioner mask, which won our appreciation during tests due to its excellent care effects 💪. Our testers noticed a quick improvement in the condition of their hair, which became much smoother and shinier. The effectiveness of the product results from its natural ingredients, which make up as much as 98% of the formula, and include substances such as passion fruit plant extracts, rosehip and hemp oil, and grape seed oil 🌿. In addition, the cosmetic has a pleasant smell and is very efficient. If you need an emollient conditioner, just use Ride The Wave as standard. For the effect of an emollient mask, it is enough to leave the cosmetic on the hair, and the effectiveness is just as great 😍. All this makes the Ride the Wave Emollient Conditioner Mask an excellent choice for those with curly hair, which we highly recommend!

Kallos is a well-known brand that stands out for its wide range of conditioners and hair masks 👩🏻‍. Its products are very popular and are available at low prices. We took a closer look at one of the brand's most popular masks 😉. Kallos Omega is an emollient mask that nourishes and moisturises damaged, dull hair. Thanks to Omega-6 fatty acids and macadamia oil, the product is able to restore shine to the hair, smooth it and protect the scalp from external factors 👍. Our testers, however, were not thrilled with the results 😓. First of all, it's hard to hit the mark with the right amount of cosmetic. As a result, either the hair behaves like after a regular shampoo or becomes heavily overloaded 👎. They also pointed out that the hair tend to tangle afterwards. In addition to this, the packaging of the product is bulky and the formula contains artificial preservatives 🧪. Still, considering the affordable price, the Kallos Omega mask is not bad, although it is far from Twisty in terms of both composition and effectiveness.

Benefits

Kallos Omega, emollient mask

  • affordable price
  • large packaging capacity
  • contains fatty acids
  • good results of use

Disadvantages

Kallos Omega, emollient mask

  • it is difficult to choose the right amount of cosmetic
  • can tangle and weigh down the hair
  • contains synthetic preservatives
  • bulky packaging

Onlybio Hair Ballance is a line of cosmetics focused on hair care that ensures PEH balance. These are very popular products, so we decided to test them more thoroughly in practice 😉. The Onlybio emollient mask is a product that moisturises well and gives radiance, thanks to natural oils from linseed, black cumin and grape seeds. It also helps in smoothing and moisturising the hair, however, in some cases it does not work on frizz 😓. The product has a pleasant, sweet smell, but some testers felt that it was too intense. The composition of the cosmetic is 98% natural and contains plant extracts 🌿. The Onlybio Hair Ballance emollient mask does not contain parabens or SLS, but contains three substances with comedogenic and potentially irritating effects 😬. The Onlybio Hair Ballance emollient mask is a good cosmetic, but it's not as effective as the first product in the ranking.

Benefits

Onlybio, Hair in Balance, emollient mask

  • composition based on plant ingredients
  • nice smell
  • good moisturizing and glowing effect
  • nice design

Disadvantages

Onlybio, Hair in Balance, emollient mask

  • it doesn't help much with frizz
  • for some, the effect is too mild
  • can weigh down the hair
  • may cause itchy scalp

Trust my Sister is another well-known brand in today's list. The Trust My Sister’s emollient mask for medium porosity hair is praised for its good nourishing and strengthening effect 🙂. The formula contains valuable oils such as olive oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil and macadamia oil, which moisturise and regenerate the hair 🌿. Our testers praised the product for its smoothing effect, added elasticity and reduced frizz. Unfortunately, you can't talk about the WOW effect, because the Trust My Sister mask has its drawbacks. First of all, it contains a highly comedogenic and irritating ingredient - isopropyl myristate 🧪. Which can irritate the scalp 😬. In addition, its price is high and the packaging capacity is small, which, combined with the low efficiency, makes the packaging run out quickly 😞.

Benefits

Trust my Sister, Emollient Mask for Medium Porosity Hair

  • contains several valuable oils
  • good smoothing effect
  • reduces frizz

Disadvantages

Trust my Sister, Emollient Mask for Medium Porosity Hair

  • contains highly comedogenic and irritating isopropyl myristate
  • high price
  • small packaging capacity
  • slow performance

Composition 6.8

The Hair Food line from Garnier Fructis is a range of cosmetics designed for dry hair in need of nourishment, so it meets the criteria of an emollient mask. Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana is a mask for dry hair, containing 98% natural ingredients 🌿. Although it is not a product dedicated to PEH care, it can be treated as an emollient due to its action and the presence of oils. The Garnier mask nourishes the hair well and makes it easier to comb, but it is not very effective on frizzy hair 🤔. The consistency of the product is thick and can make it difficult to use to the end and increase the rinsing time. A big minus is the already mentioned isopropyl myristate, which, along with two other substances, has a comedogenic and irritating effect 😬. Our testers are of the opinion that the Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana mask may be recommended rather for less demanding hair, and its effect may be insufficient for very dry hair 😓.

Benefits

Garnier Fructis, Hair Food Banana, Dry Hair Mask

  • nice performance
  • moderately priced
  • availability
  • most natural ingredients

Disadvantages

Garnier Fructis, Hair Food Banana, Dry Hair Mask

  • can weigh down the hair
  • highly comedogenic and irritating isopropyl myristate in the composition of
  • a total of 3 ingredients with a high irritating potential
  • several fragrances in the composition
