We reach for face masks when we want to provide our facial skin care routine with something more than just a cream or scrub. Face masks are products that can be used once or twice a week to achieve the desired results over a period of several weeks or months. There are also single-use masks 🎭 for special occasions, as well as aggressive peel-offs, but in our research we looked at the more classic ones, dedicated to a focused treatment and achieving good and long-lasting cosmetic results 😍 What do we look for when choosing a face mask? As our research has shown, we are more likely to choose ready-made products with the most natural composition, available in a jar 🍯 rather than in a tube. According to our reviewers, the mask allows you to deeply cleanse the skin of toxins, does not have a comedogenic effect, leaves the skin pleasantly smooth and highly moisturised 💦 The formula of the mask, based primarily on the mud from the Dead Sea, known for its miraculous properties, also contains such beneficial ingredients as prickly pear oil, hyaluronic acid and spirulina. After a few weeks of regular use of the mask, the skin is oxygenated and nourished, discolourations and pimples disappear and the complexion becomes radiant 🌞 The participants of the study also appreciated this product for its affordable volume, sufficient for many applications, as well as vegan composition. It was especially liked by women with slight skin imperfections – the Mel Skin face mask helped to effectively fight them.

Holika Holika is a brand of Korean cosmetics ⛩️ for body and face care. We tried out the Honey Sleeping Pack overnight honey and blueberry face mask and we loved the results. The face mask with honey extract 🍯 has shown a good moisturising, softening and soothing effect on all skin types. It has proven to be particularly good as a product for dry, dehydrated skin in need of deep nourishment. The mask has a thick consistency and the gel form. It has also been appreciated for its composition, which has a strong antioxidant and regenerating effect. The downside is the very thick consistency and the need to leave it on the face for many hours, which does not make it comfortable to use. This product earns a strong second place in our ranking 👍

In our ranking, the third position is occupied by the Kiehls face mask. This creamy mask provides very good hydration that can be felt shortly after use. Its recipe is based on avocado fruit extract 🥑, squalene, avocado oil and evening primrose oil. It is fragrance-free and intended for allergic skin. It also gets a plus for being able to use as an eye cream. Unfortunately, it was poorly rated for its regenerating effect, which is evident only with very frequent use of the mask ⏱️ Other disadvantage is its fairly high price and the composition saturated with components of laboratory origin (not natural enough in the opinion of the respondents).

A powder mask with algae by Elever Cosmetics is intended for the care of mature, dry skin. Thanks to the soothing properties of algae, it has proven itself for sensitive skin. The composition of the mask has been enriched with blueberry and vitamin C. The mask has a moisturises quite well and helps to alleviate inflammation 🔥 Unfortunately, only a few respondents had the patience for the time-consuming preparation and use of the mask. They judged that powder is not a successful form for a face mask. In the opinion of the study participants, the mask is usually used during evening care rituals, when we are overwhelmed by sleepy fatigue. Therefore, as our study showed, we tend to look for masks with a more comfortable cream texture 🍯 Elever Face Mask was also rated as too expensive.

The Nacomi moisturising mask in a small tube took only fifth place in the ranking. We were interested in the composition of the mask, containing as many as 4 forms of hyaluronic acid, 🧐 sweet almond oil and wheat proteins. Unfortunately, according to many of the study participants, the composition of the Nacomi product is not natural enough. The mask is best used as a cream, as it is almost completely absorbed within 15 minutes of application. Poorly rated for its regenerating effect. Contrary to the promises, the mask also does not provide the desired level of lasting skin hydration 😔 The mask can be purchased at an affordable price, but as our testers acknowledged, they would prefer to spend more on a product that is more effective.
