The traditional pink egg from BeautyBlender is one of the first make-up sponges to enter the Polish cosmetic market. As the manufacturer suggests, it is a sponge designed primarily for wet use. As our reviewers confirm, the Beautyblender becomes extremely soft when wet 🥰 which makes the application easier and allows for quite thorough blending. The material of the sponge is, according to our testers, more difficult to clean than other applicators, the cosmetic is more difficult to rinse out 🙁 The downside is its high price. The reviewers also pointed out that the shape of the sponge does not allow for precision in applying the foundation in hard-to-reach areas of the face.

We tested the product as an alternative sponge, because silicone has a smooth, not spongy surface 🙂 We were curious to see how this type of solution would work for our reviewers. The advantages of the product included mainly the ease of cleaning, the sponge only needs to be rinsed with water after use. It is also worth emphasising its durability, as it can be used a little longer than classic blenders. After a few months, the silicone unfortunately stains from the pigments contained in the foundations. The application of the foundation with this blender was a bit difficult, the testers noticed streaks, found the blender too hard 😐 You can try it as an experiment, but overall we didn't find this sponge to be a particularly successful product.
