Lip balm ranking - the best lip balms of 2024
Lip balm is a product that provides moisturisation and protection for sensitive lip skin and is particularly useful in autumn and winter, when low temperatures, wind and dry air can cause chapped and cracked lips. A good quality lip balm softens the skin and prevents drying and moisture loss. It is important to choose a cosmetic with natural ingredients that will not irritate the delicate lip skin. It is also worth paying attention to the consistency of the balm - it should spread well and not leave a greasy film on the lips. We have therefore prepared a ranking of the best lip balms for you, so check it out and choose the product that best suits your needs.

Nuxe Rêve de Miel is a lip balm that, according to our testers, does a nice job of nourishing and moisturising the skin thanks to natural ingredients such as honey, propolis, oils and vitamin E 🌿. Testers noted that the balm regenerates dry and cracked lips and provides comfort and nourishment. They also praised the composition, which contains several natural substances with beneficial effects on the delicate lip skin 😊. Unfortunately, a commonly reported downside was that the consistency of the Nuxe Reve de Miel balm was too thick 👎. This causes an unsightly crust to form on the lips and applying lipstick then becomes very difficult 😞. Testers also remarked on the specific taste and the high price 💰, which is why the Nuxe lip balm becomes the runner-up today.

Mokosh is one of the Polish brands that rely on natural ingredients in their formulations. Mokosh Raspberry lip balm is a natural beauty product that does a pretty good job of protecting your lips from the elements 😊. Mokosh balm contains vegan ingredients that moisturise and support the delicate skin of the lips, while imparting sensual colour. According to our testers, the product provides a noticeable moisturising effect, but its restorative action may be insufficient 😞. In some cases, it can also cause pimples 🤨. Despite these drawbacks, Mokosh Raspberry lip balm deserves a podium in our opinion, although it is worth remembering that it is quite expensive 💰.

Disadvantages
Mokosh, Raspberry lip balm

Tisane lip balm is a highly popular cosmetic. It is a balm in a jar with a honey flavour and vanilla fragrance. The balm has herbal ingredients and, according to testers, does a good job of moisturising, smoothing and protecting the lips. It is particularly recommended for the daily care of lips prone to cracking, dryness and damage, as well as for the regeneration of the epidermis during cold sores or herpes 😊. The price is affordable, but on the other hand, the packaging capacity is very small (less than 5 grams). The moisturisation, on the other hand, is, according to our group of testers, quite short-lived, making it all the more quickly run out ⌛. Tisane lip balm fares quite well as a budget solution to dry lips, but it is worth bearing in mind that it may not work well on skin prone to irritation and blemishes 😬. Unfortunately, Tisane balm contains a highly comedogenic ingredient - isopropyl myristate 🧪 - and can therefore cause eczema.

- availability
- good performance
Disadvantages
Herba Studio, Tisane, lip balm
- highly comedogenic isopropyl myristate in the composition of
- characteristic odour and taste
- short-term hydration
- low volume packaging

FaceBoom lip balm is advertised by the manufacturer as an intensely moisturising, vegan cosmetic with a natural formula that nourishes lips. The vegetable oils in the formula, such as babassu oil and raspberry seed oil, soften and smooth chapped lips, while avocado oil is responsible for moisturising. In addition, calamine present in the formulation soothes irritation and vegetable glycol keeps the active ingredients on the lips 👍. However, our testers were not thrilled with the effects of the FaceBoom balm. First of all, the moisturisation is unfortunately poor and the balm itself has a runny consistency 😬. When warmed by the heat of the skin, the balm often runs off the lip contour and disappears from the lips quite quickly 😓. Although the cosmetic contains natural ingredients, the formula is long-wearing and contains a couple of fragrances 🧪. FaceBoom lip balm is not bad, but you can find many better alternatives on its price shelf.
Benefits
FaceBoom, lip balm
- good performance
- pleasant fragrance
- natural substances in the composition
Disadvantages
FaceBoom, lip balm
- runs off the lip contour
- disappears quickly from the lips
- excessive fragrances
- consistency too thin
- poor hydration
