Palo Santo incense ranking - the best Palo Santo incense sticks of 2024
Palo Santo (Latin: Bursera graveolens) is a tree that grows in Central and South American countries, Mexico and the Galapagos Islands. From the Spanish language, it means "Sacred Tree". For thousands of years, Palo Santo has been burned by shamans during sacred rituals and ceremonies. The aroma of Palo Santo is very specific and cannot be confused with any other fragrance. The composition of citrus, resinous and sweet vanilla notes is enriched by a sea breeze or rain-soaked forest. According to tradition, lit Palo Santo woods remove bad energy, calm and even have a healing effect on the respiratory tract, for example.
